Mind, Brain & Evolution Center
The Mind, Brain and Evolution Center
(MBEC) is a research center funded by The George Washington University.
The Center consists of a number of scientists from the departments of
Anthropology (C. Sherwood), Philosophy (T. Zawidzki) and Speech & Hearing
Science (F. Subiaul) and its aim is to foster inter-disciplinary collaboration
and research on the evolution the brain and cognition. Presently, the
Center is working on a number of projects and hopes to begin a speaker
series in the Fall of 2009. The long-term goal of the MBEC is to develop
an academic program that fosters novel theories and pursues unique
empirical research in the cognitive and evolutionary sciences.
